Her Journey…

I’ve been natural since February and I don’t have any staple or favourite products just yet. I’m still very much in the product junkie phase but I am partial to the CURLS line and raw sudanese shea butter. I love Herbal Essences Totally Twisted conditioner for my co-washes and pure aloe vera gel for styling and wash and gos.

I love being natural because it’s liberating. The styles I can do with my hair are endless and wash and go hair is just… the shiznit. Who’d have thought a black woman that wasn’t braided up could just get up and go? What’s not to love about natural hair really? It’s beautiful, it’s versatile and it’s me.

    Really loved reading about Ofe. Nice to hear what products she uses on her hair since I live in Ireland as well. Usually I have to travel to Dublin to get products, but I’m going to the US soon and will be loading up. I’ve been wearing my hair natural for a couple of years now, but since February I’ve been wearing my hair without added hair. I’ve been doing 2-strand twists and afros. I do co-wash my hair–learned that tip from Amy McKnight of the Natural Hair Care Guide. It sure has helped me keep my hair from breakage. I just love your site and your Fly Naturals and I am a fan of yours on Facebook. Keep up the good work!!
